Inventory, freight, and cargo grids
New players often confuse personal inventory, ship stowage, and cargo grids. Treat them as separate systems so your supplies and mission boxes do not vanish into confusion.

Use interaction prompts and place boxes inside the ship where they will not fall out. For cargo missions, follow the contract pickup and drop-off flow.
Use the freight elevator console, bring cargo up, move it with a tractor beam, and snap boxes to the ship cargo grid when possible.
Ships with external or open grids can carry freight, but they are not the same thing as a backpack. Secure boxes properly before leaving.
A multitool tractor attachment is fine for small boxes. Larger hauling jobs are much easier with a dedicated cargo mover.
If losing it would ruin the session, keep it on your character or leave extras at the station until you know your ship storage works.
Open mobiGlas, go to Contracts, then choose a verified hauling job you can actually carry.
At pickup, use the console to bring the contract cargo up from storage.
Place boxes carefully so they snap or sit securely before departure.
Unload the boxes, send the elevator down, and confirm contract completion.
